Chocolate Banana Brownie Recipe

These chocolate banana brownies can be part of a healthy diet! Brownies may not be known as a traditional health food, but you can toss out unhealthy ingredients and replace them with whole foods. It is a great little treat for both your body and brain.

Banana Brownies Recipe

This recipe uses chocolate which contains antioxidants that can help clear out free radicals in the body. Green bananas boast high potassium content and rich in minerals and vitamins. Unlike the delicious yellow ripe banana’s we all love, green bananas are lower in sugar. Green bananas also have resistance starch. What that means is that it passes through your intestine unchanged. It is converted into an insoluble fiber which can help constipation.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup green banana flour
  • 1/3 cup melted vegan chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 scoops of Elite Protein Chocolate
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    2. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl. Gently stir the chocolate until melted. Remove from heat.

    3. Mix applesauce, melted chocolate, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, salt, baking soda, and banana.

    4. Pour batter into a 6 x 6 pan, lined with parchment paper.

    5. Bake for 18–20 minutes.
