Where it all began
Tyshawn’s journey to creating Green Regimen was not as predictable as you might think. A native of Connecticut, he decided to move to Los Angeles without ever seeing the city. He had no job, phone or car when he arrived to La. He needed a gig so he started working at a gym closest to his apartment. He began educating himself more about nutrition and he would frequently get tips on fitness from trainers working at the gym. However, he never thought that health and fitness would be a career option for him.
We only have one Mom
Everything changed one fateful day when Tyshawn received a call from his mother. “Baby, I’m going to have emergency surgery…I have cancer.” Growing up as an only child there would be no one more important to him...than his Mom. He immediately returned home to Connecticut to take care of her. The surgery was successful but the hard work was only beginning — she had to lose weight but had little mobility. Tyshawn started making green smoothies, which helped her drop 50 pounds in just 60 days. The doctors were astounded.
A leap of Faith, Dedication and Hard Work
As Tyshawn’s mother began to make progress, in part because of the smoothies he was making for her, people started to take notice. Friends and colleagues began asking him for the recipes for these delicious smoothies. However, he noticed that when he added protein to the smoothies, the plant based proteins tasted horrible and were just too gritty. Elite Protein was the result of many hours of experimentation and determination — first to keep his mother in good health and second, to enhance his own health and fitness priorities. Today Elite Protein is exploding, with a customer base around the country and a product that is far ahead of its competitors.
